Argument of beauty

Do you remember Ziegfeld Girls? These are all girls who performed in the Ziegfeld Follies in the 1910's - 1920's. Some went on to further careers on the stage and screen...some disappeared into obscurity.
This era of portraiture and the very sensual nature of this woman in my opinion - most of thoose photos have a sense of softness and quietude.

The women seem relaxed and confortable with their appearance probably becouse they had no idea that one day, the way the God made them would no longer be good enough.There was a time when women didn't insert silicone filled balloons under their skin and call them breasts.That is because none of them have fake boobs.

There was a time when that was normal and in appreaciation of a classic feminine beauty and the gentlemen who reconize the qulity, and I put this wonderful pictures here, just to remember and known that their look is the most beautiful look on the planet, maybe in this era too. :) In any case the photos are beautiful and the modern times may have given us "nothing left to the imagination", internet porn, and instant access to "pick your perversion", but it also gives us the freedom to be a little less judgmental of those that don't conform to our own standards.

As long as no one is harmed or abused, I figure whatever brings pleasure to someone else is none of my business.

Uau, Dorothy Flood was extraordinarily beautiful. She has a "haunting" beauty to her. I think one big difference between now and back then is, back then privacy was respected more than it is today. Now we know every embarrassing detail about any celebrity's private life, and it reflected in how we see them in all aspects,- meaning even the way we see their physical appearance.

@Paul
Thanks Paul.:)

I think in today's age can apply a simple rule: Everything but with measure!
Okay, the rule is to combine art but not consciously violate an established policy, couse often the result is a false - a fake, one that we sometimes break eardrums current society mores that allow cohabitation of all styles with an apparent freedom and tolerance.
And about this I think that in this era we all allowed this to happen...becouse of too much tolerance.
Sorry for my bad english :P

Frumoase femei... au fost la timpul lor. Nu pot nici sa-mi imaginez cum ar arata astazi, pacat ca timpul nu iarta pe nimeni.

@Andrian

Carpe diem, cum se zice in "romaneste":))

Multumesc pentru vizita:)

I really enjoyed to know the history of these girls, showing their natural beauty without resorting to plastic surgery nor Fotoshop. I can also imagine what some of these girls suffered from the prejudice of these days - showing a little bit of nudity that they exhibit (much for that time).
As additional information, I knew that some of them came out the shows they performed married to rich men. I also read that the last girl of them that still alive - Doris Eaton Travis - said goodbye to us on May 11, 2010, with 106 years of age .. What is the secret to her longevity ;)

Also,I don't know she's secret but I heard somewhere that - The secret to longevity. It’s obviously bacon. :P
